I’m a Core Lecturer at Columbia University, where I completed my Ph.D. in Musicology in 2015. My interests are contemporary opera and diversity, Regieoper, Wagner Studies, and new music. I’m currently working on a book project on afterlives of 1968, global politics, and stagings of Wagner’s Ring cycle in divided Germany. My research has been published by The Musical Quarterly and Tempo, and I have received research grants from the Fulbright Program and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

I enjoy interviewing composers, performers, and authors on my blog.
